Kev headed down to the training ground on Monday to get some insights from inside the camp straight from summer signing Liam Walsh.
He joined us for a chat which begins with his arrival at Kenilworth Road and how conversations with the manager went.
Kev then delves into the route to the top and how Liam made it through both at Everton and then England before the attention turns to his senior career.
The lads talk about Luton’s new style of play (which we spoke about in-depth a few episodes back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVNhSgDeXjU) and the performances so far as well as that fine win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
All this and plenty more on the longest running Luton Town podcast, which is now a finalist in the best Football League podcast category at the Football Content Awards!

The Town picked up a first three points at Kenilworth Road this season on Saturday afternoon when a Carlton Morris brace was enough to see off Sheffield Wednesday 2-1.
Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe and the new two-time English middleweight boxing champion Linus Udofia joins the boys again to reflect on his title fight triumph and look at the second win of the season on the football pitch.
The lads chat through an ordinary opening hour of the game before reflecting much more in-depth on the last half hour and where and how things turned around.
The key decisions of the day are debated with the chaps also picking out a couple of exciting performers who are going to be massive fan favourites very quickly.
We hear from one of those in a reaction interview as well as the thoughts of manager Rob Edwards.
All this and so much more on the longest running Luton Town podcast, which this season is sponsored by SOLYD - Supporters of Luton Youth Development. Thanks also to @_thelowerlevel_ in association with @thebarberclubluton for hosting our new studio.

Luton Town go in search of successive wins on Saturday afternoon when Sheffield Wednesday are the visitors to Kenilworth Road.
Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe and Town fan Dan Barratt-Davis to look ahead to the clash with The Owls.
The boys discuss an indifferent start to the season for Sheffield Wednesday before looking at how the Town might line up, including a different take (he’s had a right shocker!!!) on the potential team from one of the gang!
The lads look at whether much will change and also discuss who could perform a key role within the side before the podcast ends as ever with the score predictions.
Do either of the three think Luton will win the game and if so by how many?
Listen in for this and much more on the longest running Luton Town podcast!
P.s. we recorded this before the news about Alfie Doughty signing a new contract. We'll chat about that in the next episode.

And breathe! The Town got their first win of the season with a gritty, ground out 1-0 win against Millwall at The New Den on Saturday afternoon.
Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe and podcast regular Dan Barratt-Davis to reflect on the first of what we hope will be many three points on the season.
The lads begin by looking at the three changes that Rob Edwards made to his starting XI before they dissect the key incidents of the game. The discussion then turns towards a strategy change that the Hatters are employing and how the fans will need to get used to it and how it might help if they do.
We then hear from Rob Edwards before the chaps pick out a few of the individuals who shone either in their performance across the 90 minutes or just their presence.
The podcast then concludes with a discussion around the only news that really mattered in the last few days which was that detailed plans have been submitted to Luton Council for the Hatters’ new Power Court stadium and what this means.
All this and so much more on the longest running Luton Town podcast!

Millwall v Luton preview: Do Hatters have a fighting chance at first win?
Thursday Sep 12, 2024
Thursday Sep 12, 2024
The international break is over and real football returns on Saturday as Luton Town head to the capital to take on Millwall at The New Den.
To preview the match, Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe and Luton professional boxer Linus Udofia, who will be fighting for the English middleweight title on Saturday..
The boys begin by reflecting on the international break and the talking points from Kenilworth Road over the course of the week, including the flag row with The FA, before looking ahead to the match with The Lions.
The lads then reflect on what we can expect from Millwall and where the dangers might lie before the attention turns to who could line up for the Hatters in the contest.
Is this the day we see Marvelous Nakamba starting a league match? Will Tom Krauss start straight away? Could there even be a surprise name in the squad for the game?
As always the football chat ends with the score predictions. Can any of the lads correctly predict the score for the first time this season!?
Once the football talk is done the attention turns to the boxing ring where Linus fights for the English middleweight title at York Hall on Saturday night.
He gives us some info on his fight with Dan Catlin including his preparations and what we can expect. There is a chat about the Luton boxing scene and a shout for Kenilworth Road or Power Court showdown!
All this and so much more on the longest running Luton Town podcast!

Luton 1 QPR 2 reaction: Do Luton have a punch-drunk problem?
Tuesday Sep 03, 2024
Tuesday Sep 03, 2024
What a disappointing evening that turned into!
A night which offered so much turned into huge downer for Luton Town on Friday as they were the victims of a smash-and-grab by QPR in a 2-1 defeat.
Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to reflect on a match which saw the Town do so many good things but come undone due to two horrendous mistakes at the wrong time.
The boys pick out the real positives of the first hour of the match before touching on the moments which transformed victory into defeat and then offer their takes on the various post-match reactions.
The best bits of the Rob Edwards post-match press conference is also included in the podcast which finished with a shortened deep dive rather than a full one which is usually the case in an international break.
All this and a whole lot more on the longest running Luton Town podcast!

We meet again! Less than 72 hours after the final spot kick was scored at Loftus Road, Luton take on QPR once again on Friday night, this time with Kenilworth Road the venue.
Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to look ahead at the strange situation of playing the same side twice in the same week.
The boys discuss whether Tuesday night has any significance on the game and if it does who benefits from it before they take a look at the likely threats in the QPR side.
Having faced this opposition so recently, much of the chat is about the Town and how they could line up. Does Rob Edwards stick with a back four and if he does how does the formation look in front of them? Does Zack Nelson get another crack at the Hoops? What else would the boys want to see apart from a home win?
All this and a whole lot more including the score predictions on another episode of the longest running Luton Town podcast!

Thursday Aug 29, 2024
Thursday Aug 29, 2024
Life as a Hatter is never dull is it? The last week has been particularly eventful and Kev is once again joined by the refreshed and holidayed Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to look back on the many events around Kenilworth Road.
The boys begin by discussing the initial transfer incomings at The Brache before looking at how fans were brought down to earth at Preston after a positive week.
The attention then moves towards the Carabao Cup match with QPR where there was so much more to be positive about and a lot of hope restored, despite a penalty shootout defeat, before the chat goes into the latest rumours ahead of the transfer window closing including the confirmed departure of Chiedozie Ogbene and the expected loss of Teden Mengi, the potential exit of Thomas Kaminski as well as some potential new arrivals.
All this and so much more in an extended episode of the longest running Luton Town podcast!

That was much better wasn’t it!? The Town went to Fratton Park and came away with a 0-0 draw on a crazy afternoon of football to get up and running in terms of points for the season.
Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to reflect on a much better performance from the Hatters while going through the events of the chaotic first period in particular.
The boys pick out the key performers in the contest and pick through what they liked about the display and where there is still a little bit of room for improvement.
It wouldn’t be August if the podcast didn’t end with a bit of transfer talk so there is that and plenty more on the longest running Luton Town podcast!
