Welcome to They Tried To Kill Us Off – the newly independent Luton Town podcast, hosted by Kev and Jimbo.
If you've noticed things look a little different... don't worry. You're in exactly the right place.
After nine seasons as the Luton Town Supporters' Trust Podcast, we're starting a new chapter. We're now an independent podcast, but we're still the same podcast you've been listening to and watching since 2017.
And if you're already subscribed to this podcast, you don't need to do a thing. Your subscription stays exactly where it is and you'll continue to get all our podcasts here as normal.
Our new moniker comes from a famous chant every Luton supporter knows. It's about resilience, sticking together and refusing to be beaten. Luton against the world. We think it perfectly captures what supporting this football club is all about.
We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone at the Luton Town Supporters' Trust for their support over the past nine seasons and for helping us get to where we are today. We're incredibly grateful for everything we've been able to do together and we're delighted that the podcast can continue into this new chapter.
And while this podcast channel remains exactly where it is, we've also got brand new social media accounts. We'd really appreciate it if you'd followed us there as well and join us for the next chapter:

Fans at Brisbane Road on Tuesday night endured a tough 90 minutes to watch as Luton Town were held to a 1-1 draw by Leyton Orient on a dour evening of football.
Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to go through the bad and the truly very bad of the evening with few positives for the lads to get stuck into.
They pull no punches over the quality on offer or some of the performances that were displayed but give credit to a couple of individuals.

The Town made progress in one competition but paid the penalty in another in a rollercoaster week of cup action for the Hatters.
Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to look at the good and the bad of the cup ties as well as preview the upcoming return to league action at Leyton Orient.
The boys pick out the highlights of the cup games and the negatives of both matches, going through the players who enhanced their reputation and those who probably didn’t shine as much as they would have wanted.
The attention then turns to the Orient game against a wounded opponent. Are they more dangerous than their league position suggests? The lads go through a potential big selection call for Jack Wilshere ahead of the game and run through who else might make the team for the clash.
All this and much more, including the score predictions, on the longest-running, award-winning Luton Town podcast!

It is a break from league action for the Town on Saturday as the Hatters embark on a long trip to Highbury Stadium to take on League Two side Fleetwood Town in the FA Cup second round.
Kev is joined again by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe and The Class lead singer Callum Lee to look ahead to the cup tie.
The boys briefly touch on the Town’s opponents Fleetwood and their record this season as well as a couple of key players to watch.
They then turn the attention to the Hatters and who may or may not be in the starting XI named by Jack Wilshere for the cup tie. Will the former Arsenal man name a full strength side or will he have an eye on the league game at Leyton Orient?

Luton were absolutely hammered at Oakwell as Barnsley smashed five past a side that looked miles off it from the first whistle. Pathetic, outrageous, embarrassing… take your pick. It was one of those days where nothing worked and everything fell apart.
A still-fuming Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to break down a horror show of a performance.
The lads go through every messy moment: the early warning signs, the complete loss of control, the shambolic defending and the bizarre post-match interview that only made tempers worse.
Where do Town go from here? Has the honeymoon already ended for manager Jack Wilshere? What has to change immediately to avoid this becoming another downward spiral?
All that and much more on the longest-running, award-winning Luton Town podcast.

The Town head to Oakwell on Saturday looking for a fourth straight win in Barnsley, and Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to preview a match we sincerely hope will involve actual football after the Rotherham non-event.
The boys start by breaking down Barnsley’s biggest threats and why this isn’t the assignment some Luton fans think it is. From their danger men to the tactical traps the Tykes like to spring, the chaps look at where Jack Wilshere’s side must be switched on.
Attention then turns to the Hatters: will there be changes, who comes in, and how exactly Luton can hurt Barnsley? The lads debate the key selection calls, the best blueprint for three points and whether this game sparks into life.
All this, plus score predictions, fan concerns, optimism checks and a few laughs along the way on the longest running, award winning Luton Town podcast.

Luton were held to a 0–0 draw by Rotherham United at Kenilworth Road in one of the strangest matches of the season. Almost nothing happened, but sometimes that tells you more than a wild end-to-end game.
Kev and The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe break down a match that gave us very little to analyse on the pitch, so the focus turns to what this performance actually means for Jack Wilshere’s Hatters.
The boys discuss:
• Why the Town couldn’t break down the brick wall that Rotherham set up
• Whether the lack of chances is a real concern
• What Wilshere might tweak from here
• Why Jack Wilshere seeing it first hand could be a blessing in disguise.
It might have been much ado about nothing, but the bigger picture might be the most important part.
Let us know in the comments: did the 0–0 tell you something deeper about this Luton side?
The boys then finish the podcast by reflecting on where the Hatters are at the conclusion of the first third of the campaign.
All this on the longest-running, award-winning Luton Town podcast!
