Remember when Garth Crooks said we'd be relegated by Christmas? Instead, Luton Town celebrated with a cracker of a come-from-behind victory at Bramall Lane as the Hatters beat Sheffield United 3-2 in a chaotic clash.
Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe and Town fan Dan Barratt-Davis to recap and review a crazy afternoon, beginning with the dominance the visitors showed in the first half before the chaos of the second one.
Special mentions get handed out to a number of star performers on the afternoon as well as the man in the middle, Sam Allison, who made the spectacle what it was.
All this and plenty more on a festive episode of the only podcast to go from League 2 to the Premier League!

Once the presents have been opened, the has been turkey eaten and the Christmas sherry quaffed, attention will turn to the Boxing Day trip to Bramall Lane as Sheffield United host Luton for the second time in nine months.
Kev is once again joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to look ahead to the Yorkshire clash with the podcast beginning by looking back at the last time these two sides met at this famous venue.
The boys pick out three threats in the opposition, each of whom we came up against last season, before reflecting on the change of manager in this part of the world.
As always, the focus then comes back to the Hatters and any potential team changes that Rob Edwards might make, with the prospect of that high calibre midfield trio we have spoken so much about in previous podcasts potentially being on the pitch at the same time for the first time.
The lads look at where in this Sheffield United line up Luton can get some joy in attack before they conclude with their score predictions for the game.
All this and plenty more on the only podcast that has gone from League 2 to the Premier League!
*Please note that due to the Christmas schedule this podcast was recorded before the 1-0 win over Newcastle United.

We promised you some instant match reaction, seeing as the Christmas schedule means we won’t be able to record a full length podcast episode in the studio like we normally do.
Instead, Kev and James got together inside Kenilworth Road after the final whistle to talk about an emotional and very memorable day as Luton beat Newcastle 1-0 to end a week that began with captain Tom Lockyer suffering a cardiac arrest.
We discuss which players stood out to earn a third Premier League win of the season and how they did it before James headed off to interview some of the key Hatters for your listening pleasure.
You can hear chats with:
Hatters manager Rob Edwards
Goalscorer Andros Townsend
Ross Barkley
Teden Mengi
Alfie Doughty.
Let us know in the comments if you like this sort of short form content and we'll see if we can do more of it in 2024, alongside our regular studio sit-down discussions.
The next one will be a preview podcast of the Boxing Day match at Sheffield United. Make sure you subscribe so you get notifications when that drops.

Newcastle United head to Kenilworth Road for the first time in 29 years on Saturday afternoon and Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to preview what is set to be an emotional day.
The boys begin the podcast by sending their best wishes to Tom Lockyer and Glen Rea before congratulating the Luton Ladies side on their recent FA Cup win to set up a high profile clash against WSL side Brighton in the next round.
A look back at the last time the Magpies played at Kenilworth Road follows from there.
When the attention turns to Saturday, James refuses to separate football from the sportswashing efforts of Newcastle's owners.
But we still manage to pick out three dangers in the opposing side that are beset by injuries.
The focus then goes onto the Town, who will obviously be forced into one change to their starting XI. Replacements for Lockyer are discussed as well as any other switches Rob Edwards could make to his team.
The boys then look at who in the opposition can be targeted and the potential key performers over the course of the afternoon before finishing with their score predictions.
All this and a lot more on the longest running Luton Town podcast!

Stay strong Tom Lockyer and thank you Bournemouth fans - a short message
Monday Dec 18, 2023
Monday Dec 18, 2023
We won't be bringing you a full size post-match podcast this week because, frankly, after the cardiac arrest suffered by Tom Lockyer, football isn't important.
But we did want to record this short message in support of our captain and our hope that he returns to health. We love him to bits and just want him to be safe and well.
But we also want to say thank you to everyone connected with AFC Bournemouth. Your reaction and support on the day and since has been remarkable and we'll never forget it.
Also, please do support each other and speak up if the events of Saturday have effected you.
Take care and we'll be back when football returns

Luton Town head to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon for a huge game of Premier League football and Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to look ahead to what many will describe as a must-win game.
The boys show respect to the opposition the Hatters will face by praising their recent form and some key decisions that they have made before picking out three dangers that the Town will need to contain in order to have the best chance of getting a result.
The attention then turns to how the Hatters will line up and who will replace Marvelous Nakamba in the centre of the park as well as a possible surprise at the heart of the defence and maybe one up top as well.
You don’t just want to hear our thoughts so we get the early impressions ahead of the game from three members of the Town squad.
Before the podcast concludes we recognise the wider picture than just the game by praising a member of the Cherries squad before a score prediction with a difference!
All this and plenty more as always on the only podcast to go from League 2 to the Premier League!

It isn’t Groundhog Day but once again it was so near but yet so far as for the second time in less than two years Luton Town led the European champions only to fall to defeat as they went down 2-1 to Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
Yes we were all dreaming that the seemingly impossible could actually come true for 17 beautiful minutes but it wasn’t to be!
Kev is once again joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe for the Man City review episode of the podcast with the boys looking back on how the 90 minutes transpired, how Luton largely held their own and contained the champions for large periods.
The boys once again eulogise over a special piece of football that led to the Hatters opening the scoring before dissecting the goals which ultimately sent the Town to defeat.
There were plenty of positives and they all get highlighted and the episode includes the reaction of boss Rob Edwards, Marvelous Nakamba, goalscorer Elijah Adebayo and Jacob Brown.
All this and lots more on the longest running Luton Town podcast!

S7 E38: Luton v Manchester City: Fairytale or farce? Charge it!
Saturday Dec 09, 2023
Saturday Dec 09, 2023
Kev and The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe are back to look ahead to the European champions coming to Kenilworth Road on Sunday as Luton Town go up against Manchester City.
The podcast begins with James ranting about City's 115 Premier League charges for alleged breaches of financial regulations, before we pick out three of the many threats that the champions will provide to the Town.
The indifferent current form of City is discussed, particularly in their back line and the boys look at which Luton players can take advantage of the leaky nature of the visiting defence both tactically and in terms of which personnel will be used for the game.
There's plenty more besides as well as the score predictions as always on the only football podcast to go from League 2 to the Premier League!

Thursday Dec 07, 2023
Thursday Dec 07, 2023
Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to look back on a remarkable night of football at Kenilworth Road as Luton suffered a heart-breaking last-gasp 4-3 defeat to the Premier League leaders Arsenal.
The boys begin the podcast by going through the 90 minutes, picking apart the good bits from the game and the bad on what was a true rollercoaster of emotions.
The chaps were in no doubt who was the standout player in a Luton shirt on the night and spend lengthy periods of time eulogising over the impressive talent that is Ross Barkley before reflecting on the belief everyone can take out of going toe-to-toe with the best team in the country at present.
We're also they only Hatters podcast to bring you interviews with the key men and on this episode we get the post-match reaction of Gabriel Osho, Barkley himself, Andros Townsend and Rob Edwards.

Kev is once again joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe and Luton fan Dan Barratt-Davis to look ahead to a clash with the league leaders for the second time this season when this time Arsenal head to Kenilworth Road – on James’ birthday!
The historical nature of this fixture isn’t lost on anyone and the boys reflect on the most memorable meeting of the two to date, back in 1988, before looking at some of the threats that will be posed by the Gunners on the night.
The lads think they have found a man within the visiting team to target and explain who it is and why before they look into who might and might not line up for the Hatters on the night.
The chat then looks to which Luton players could be the most important on the evening before the podcast concludes as ever with the score predictions.
All of this and lots more besides on the only podcast to go from League 2 to the Premier League!
